Then I went to Facebook to find Threepenny had won five awards! ‘n amongst the very much deserved other awards, I get “best male supporting actor”……speechless! Thank you Backstage Pass Award Peoples, truly honoured by it and for obvious reasons…I can’t quite believe it…thank you sausages, I feel very lucky to be working with such talented people xx

I liked this review by Steve Hawthorne: “Compliance with Brecht’s demands for the disintegration of the fourth wall was led by narrator John Kelly, an anarchic compère who probed the audience’s comfort zone with impish glee. His rabble rousing introduction amplified the picket line mood which the home made, spray can banners, festooning the foyer and auditorium of the New Wolsey Theatre had initiated. Although the messages were political the style was more FA Cup Final circa 1973 and in fact if one had read “John Kelly bites yer legs” it would have felt entirely apt.”
